El festival de cine más grande del mundo regresa a las pantallas tras la ausencia de 2020. Thierry Frémaux, director artístico y delegado general, y Pierre Lescure, presidente del festival, revelaron el line-up de las competencias y presentaciones especiales en una rueda de prensa en el Normandie Theatre en los Campos Elíseos.
Se anunciaron 24 filmes en Competencia que se verán del 6 al 17 de julio.
Entre los filmes que se anunciaron para la Competencia Oficial se encuentran “Three Floors”, de Nanni Moretti; “Red Rocket”, del estadounidense Sean Baker; “Paris, 13th District”, de Jacques Audiard;
“Par un Demi Clair Matin», de Bruno Dumont; “Memoria”, de Apichatpong Weerasethakul; “A Hero”, de Asghar Farhadi; “The French Dispatch”, de Wes Anderson, entre otras que se suman a las ya anunciadas “Annette”, de Leos Carax; y “Benedetta”, de Paul Verhoeven.
De momento, el único título latinoamericano anunciado es la mexicana «Noche de Fuego», de Tatiana Huezo.
Fuera de competencia se verá “The Velvet Underground”, de Todd Haynes; Oliver Stone presentará “JFK: Through the Looking Glass” ; y lo nuevo de Hong Sang-soo, “In Front of Your Face”.
